I can see why this famous children's story by  Mary Norton would appeal to Miyazaki as it hits on his favorite themes of conservation and human meddling even for the best of reasons resulting in destruction of the environment.  In this story the environment is the world of the Borrowers, a family of little people who live on the edge of the Human world,  A young sickly boy encounters and makes friends with the young daughter of this family and through his actions, kind as they may be,  puts them in terrible danger.  True to the book, with beautiful visuals and a great deal of charm.  5 stars
